Aliexpress is a retail marketplace. Most professionals don't use it.

If a product retails on Aliexpress for $4, we can get it for $1 - $1.50 going direct. Most of the products are sent e-packet, which is anywhere between 16–25 days shipping time. And yes, customers do wait 3–4 weeks for shipping because they generally get items for free shipping.

If the customer wants to pay $50 for shipping, it can be sent FedEx, DHL, UPS and arrive in 4–6 days. But no one does that.

Professional dropshippers create perceived value. So it’s not hard to buy an item from a China factory for $2.00 and sell it for $89.99. It’s all about making the website look good, images look good, and descriptions look good. Dropshipping is not about competing with other sellers by price.
