There are more and more cars on the road with the rapid development nowadays. The car headlight would be a very important key when it comes to driving at night or in the rain. If the car lamp sealing performance is poor, the vehicle in the process of driving or washing the car splash water, automotive oil, dust, and so on into the interior of the lamp, the lamp will appear fogging and may cause the lamp failure, thus affecting the safety of the vehicle driving process.
So how to carry out the airtightness waterproof test of auto lamps? This is an important guarantee for the quality of the lamp product.
Our car headlights are IP67 waterproof level, so how do we know the test is really IP67 waterproof?
1. IP67 waterproof test means one meter of water depth submerged for 30 minutes
2. Because we are an assembly factory, we use the most primitive test method, prepared a 2-meter deep glass pool
3. Filled with water almost 1.5 meters or so to the pool.
4. Keep the headlight harness connection to about 2 meters, to ensure that when the headlight into the water test, the connection line is long enough.
5. Put the headlight into the water to a depth of about 1 meter, with an iron cover or gravity apparatus to press.
6. Start timing, about 30 minutes
7. if the light is always on, that the IP67 test passed, if the light is not on, that IP67 does not pass. If the light is found to have traces of water inside, it means that the IP67 test does not pass.
